What is resistance? How to hear your intuition

Feeling Your Body’s Signals

I want to share a quick experiment you can do with yourself to learn to hear your body and your intuition more deeply.

First, practice by learning how to identify resistance with these two thoughts:

1) Imagine that you’re afraid of spiders. Then, imagine there’s a spider sitting on your knee. All of a sudden, your body will tense up. That’s a visceral feeling of resistance, constriction and tension.

2) Imagine a box of kittens playing. Or puppies, whatever animal you love. Feel the sensations that arrive in your body. Do you feel an emotional openness in your chest? Fuzzy feeling? Those are the feelings of alignment.

These are both physical indicators of resistance and openness.

When people talk about the laws of attraction, if you’re being resistant to something or letting the good energy flow, that can be an indicator of gaging within your own body where that resistance is.

So, if you’re thinking about something or if you’re trying to make a decision and you feel that resistance in your body, then remember there’s something there to look at.

Resistance can mean so many things, but for now, what I challenge you to do is be aware of it and know how to feel it within yourself.

And reach for more thoughts that feel like a box of kittens.
